Members may experience “alerts” when using refilled cartridges. These nuisance messages are simply deterrents created by manufacturers and should be bypassed by pressing “OK”, “proceed”, “continue”, “accept”, etc. Stop the process if an “Unrecognized Cartridge”, “Cartridge Error”, “Incompatible Cartridge” or “Replace Cartridge” message appears (return the cartridge to the Costco Photo Centre for evaluation). See table below.
Tips
1) To install your cartridge remove clip or cap from base of ink cartridge (if applicable).
2) Insert cartridge into printer; ensure cartridge firmly locks into place.
3) Press OK, yes, close, etc. to bypass any nuisance messages that appear.
Inkjet Cartridge Refill Care
- Refill a cartridge shortly after you notice print quality starting to degrade. Keep a spare set of cartridges for convenience.
Protect your cartridges when transporting them to Costco Photo Centre for refilling. Reuse the refill clips or place up to 3 cartridges in an envelope or bag. Avoid touching or rubbing the print head against objects.
